Rationale

Rationale (Team: You & I fair trade coffee break)

Our topic was about fair trade coffee break. Our target audience was creative university students who desire to see inspiring designs, therefore we have created unique design of our own using graphical elements and hand free illustration. Our designs were simply image based for the students who has no time to read and the focus was to make them be aware about the issues about child labor and inequality of trading systems furthermore respect the workers.

Our visual elements were fragile and faded in most of them to represent the workers who work behind the scene. We have used crooked hand drawn illustration to show individuality of the workers and then used flat info graphic where it shows reality of our trading systems.

Throughout two main posters ‘They are not just a number’ (one with no hand/no help), ‘They are more than a number’ (one with holding hand/help) we portrayed the idea of one person could change another person’s life by simply choosing fair trade coffee.

Website Final design

16/10
So I've changed several issues like..
aligning pictures and text,
text size
image size
toning down images
cropping an image
adding <br> to give enough space
adding <hr> and the style of headline.

and this is the final screenshot on
Mac book desktop

Most of my website design was aligned center because it looked much cleaner and aligned well.
the only thing that I haven't centered is the text on 'About' page.
I left subheading centered but the reason I've done this is because I couldn't read properly.
the main purpose of this website was
to give clear information and make it look as simple/tidy as possible.
I've toned down the images just to keep a consistency within designs that we have done.

Poster Final- quotation fixed

Minjoo said it will be better if each poster has different quotation because
it include different meaning on each posters.
So we decided to change the poster one that holding hands,
'They are not just a number' to 'They are more than a number'.

Therefore, I was drawing the word 'more' and 'than' for our quotation.

These are final outcome of poster design.

Poster Final

I finished the poster with these two types of design.

Getting feedback on week 6 section 2 class

I got a feedback that the poster design would be more better if
the lines were in a different thickness,

so I created this bar code looking lines for our poster.

These are a bar-codes that I researched for the poster resources.

The reason why I've aligned the information narrow way is because it reminded me of a jail bar.

What I have changed:
Font Helvetica->Awake
Aligning/ gap
Scale
a little tag line on the front page
shifted find us on up
Put a border around the maps
